Nora is originally from Whatì, NT. Nora is from a family of 12 children including herself. She values her strong traditional ways and also encourages her children to achieve their educational goals in life. She hopes that her daughters will also follow her footsteps with beading and sewing, so that they hold on to their traditional values in life.
Nora currently lives in Behchokö and has lived here for the past 18 years. She is a single mother of four children. Nora enrolled into the Jewelry and Metalwork Program with Aurora College and graduate in 2001.
When Nora was 12 years old she began sewing and beading traditional clothing such as slippers, jackets, vests, moccasins, mitts and gloves. Now she has broadened her skills to include purses, wallets, card holders, picture frames jewelry, trinkets, accessories and key chains.
