A message from the Tlicho Community Services Agency.
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic the Chief Public Health Officer of the Northwest Territories has issued an order under the Public Health Act directing all residents returning to the Northwest Terriroties in the last 14 days to self-isolate and complete a self-isolation plan. This means if you are returning to the Northwest Territories by either air or road you must self-isolate in Yellowknife, Hay River, Fort Smith, or Inuvik.
You are not permitted to self-isolate in the Tlicho region. If you are returning to the Northwest Territories you must contact [email protected] or call 1-833-378-8297 between 8am and 8pm 7 days a week.
They will help you with how to self-isolate. If you have to self-isolate you must stay in one place until your plan has been approved. This means, if you are driving home from Alberta and you live in Behchoko you must drive to Fort Smith, Hay River, or Yellowknife. You are not allowed to self-isolate in a Tlicho Community.
The reason for this direction is to protect our small communities, and ensure those who need care and treatment are close to hospital care. If you do not know where to self-stay to self-isolate when you return to the NWT email [email protected] or call 1-833-378-8297 between 8am and 8pm 7days a week. If you have already returned to your community, stay where you are, do not travel to another community.
Email [email protected] or call 1-833-378-8297 to discuss your self-isolation plan.

Thank you for your help in keeping your communities safe.
