TCSA COVID 19 and School Closures

A message from the Tlicho Community Services Agency.

The TCSA continues to take proactive steps to address the COVID-19 pandemic in the NWT.

Due to the significant health concerns posed by this virus and the importance of social distancing as a ways of keeping children, families, and communities safe, the TCSA Board has agreed with the recommendation from Minister of Education, R.J. Simpson, that schools be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

The TCSA Board and staff agree that this is the most effective way for us to support the fight against the spread of COVID-19, but we are also aware of the impact school closures have on students, parents, staff, and communities. We will continue working with our partners across the NWT education system to support continued learning for all students, especially those in Grade 12, so that they may achieve their education and career goals.

If you have questions about the closure of TCSA schools please email [email protected] and we will reply to you promptly.

Thank you for your help in keeping our communities safe.
