CEC approved the 50/50 program - Call for application now open

The Chief Executive Council of the Tłı̨chǫ Government have approved the 50/50 Program.  This is to Support to Access Land Based Activities program. This program will assist 100 Tłı̨chǫ Citizens (Behchokǫ̀ 73, Whatı̀ 22, Gamètı̀ 15, Wekweètı̀ 10, Yellowknife 30) living in the four Tłı̨chǫ communities to make purchases of equipment such as ATV, skidoos, boats, trailers, chain saws, etc. allowing the applicants and their family members to get out on the land more to be engaged with our Tłı̨chǫ culture; harvesting, hunting, fishing and trapping. Fifty percent of approved purchases will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $10,000.00 per household on a first come first served basis. This program will accept purchases made in this fiscal year from April 1st, 2021 - March 31st, 2022.

Applications are to be completed in full (receipts and Bill of Sale documents attached) and emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at your local Community Presence Office or the head Tłı̨chǫ Government office in Behchokǫ̀.

The Committee will meet every Thursday afternoon starting on Thursday, August 29, 2021 to review applications. Approved applicants will review and sign a Contribution Agreement prior to any financial support being issued under this program.
