The Tłı̨chǫ Friendship Centre is seeking a strong, community-driven leader to serve as our Executive Director. This position is open only to Tłı̨chǫ citizens living in Behchokǫ̀, Whati, Gamèti, Wekweeti, or Yellowknife.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization 
  • Oversee programs services, and staff management 
  • Secure funding through grants, proposals, and partnerships 
  • Ensure financial accountability and sustainability
  • Build strong relationships with government, funders, and community partners
  • Advocate forthe needs of the Tłı̨chǫ people and ensure programs align with cultural values

Education & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Social Services, Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership, program management, or community development
  • Strong financial management and grant-writing skills
  • Knowledge of Tłı̨chǫ culture, govemance, and community needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
