Trapping Training Education Program
The Trapping Education Program teaches youth skills and values, giving them the foundation for Trapping. A group consist elders, trappers and youth participated in the Tlicho Trapping Training Education Program from February 15 – 26, 2016.
The group will learn first-hand on how to set traps, cut a trail, mark a trail, and basic survival skills on a land. It is vital that our youth develop a path that will lead to brighter future based on our language, culture and way of life.
The youth with support of trappers (Instructors), and elder went out on the land, were they were taught based on our language, culture and our way of life.
