Behchokǫ̀ Election Update: Voter Registration and Non-Tłı̨chǫ Residents of Behchokǫ̀
Please note that non-Tłı̨chǫ voters can only vote for councillor positions and are not eligible to vote for the position of chief.
Eligible non-Tłı̨chǫ residents are invited to visit the Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ (CGB) office to register their names on the Voters Register as soon as possible.
Eligibility Criteria to Vote (all conditions must be met):
- Must be at least 18 years old on Election Day
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident on Election Day
- Minimum residency of six months within Behchokǫ̀ (Rae, Frank Channel, or Edzo)
- Minimum residency of two years within the Northwest Territories
