May 20 - June 20, 2025 - On-the-land & classroom training in Behchokǫ̀ (5 weeks)
June 24 - July 9, 2025 - Community practicum (2 weeks)
July 10, 2025 - Graduation Ceremony in Behchokǫ̀

Who Can Apply?

  • Fluent in Tłı̨chǫ and literate in reading/writing
  • Available for all 5 weeks training in Behchoko and 2 weeks practicum

10 students will be selected (two Tłı̨chǫ citizens from each community) Behchokǫ̀, Whatì, Gamètì, Wekweètì, and Yellowknife

How to Apply?

Submit the following to Elsie.Mantla@tlicho.ca 

  • Why do you want to be a Tłı̨chǫ Interpreter & Translator? Share a story in Tłı̨chǫ Yatıì, write a short story (100 words) or send a short video (1:00 minute)
  • Resume - Include details of previous courses, reading/writing skills, and experience interpreting between English and Tłı̨chǫ
