Covid-19 Funeral Support
The Tłı̨chǫ Government understands that families need time to process and mourn the loss of loved ones but, at this time:
- Only graveside services will be supported;
- Attendees must maintain social distancing; and,
- There must not be any feasts or family get-togethers after the grave side services.
The risks attached to COVID-19 transmission are too great to consider any large gatherings. The Tłı̨chǫ Government will not financially assist or support feasts or gatherings.
Gatherings of loved ones may be held later, after the risk of COVID-19 transmission no longer exists.
The Tłı̨chǫ Government encourages all Tłı̨chǫ citizens to follow the direction of the Chief Public Health Officer.
