The Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ will be implementing the Curfew By-law #110-07 FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE starting on Monday, September 10, 2018. 

The curfew will be as following:

• Sunday to Thursday during the school year:  9 PM until 6 AM. 
• Friday to Saturday:  11 PM until 6 AM.
• During the Summer Break: 11 PM until 6 AM.

Council may, on its own initiative, declare by resolution that night time curfew shall not be in effect on nights when community cultural activities such as drum dances and feasts are to be held in which a child is expected to attend as part of their cultural development.  This applies to only those children who attend the cultural event.

A siren shall be sounded for thirty seconds as a warning thirty minutes before the commencement of the night time.
