Yellowknife (October 19, 2022) – The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released an updated Public Service Code of Conduct, serving as a moral compass for public servants and a guide for professional behaviour and decision-making in the workplace.
Helping employees make decisions and navigate difficult or unclear circumstances, the Code focuses on the GNWT’s four core values: Integrity, Accountability, Diversity, and Collaboration. These values lead the professional decisions and personal conduct of employees while on the job.
Guided by input from employees, updates to the Code reflect the current environment that public servants work in and includes guidance on the use of social media.
Public servants across the GNWT are expected to familiarize themselves with the updated Code.
