Operation Nanook is a live exercise taking place from September 24-28, 2018. Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ will be participating in along with the Government of Northwest Territories and the Military to practice the Behchokǫ̀ Emergency Plan. 

 As part of Operation Nanook on September 24th the Behchoko Community Emergency Response Committee will be activating and carrying out activities as part of the scenario to further validate our Emergency Plan.

 Activities will include: holding a committee meeting, practicing setting up our reception centre, practicing our evacuation notification protocol, keeping the Tłı̨chǫ Government informed and cooperation with the GNWT’s Emergency Management Organization.
