For the first time, Ni Hadi Xa, an environmental monitoring group of Indigenous communities close to Gahcho Kué Mine, held a meeting on the land. The NHX Governance Committee and staff met at the group's cabin on Fletcher Lake in the NWT. Participants from Deninu Kué First Nation, Lutsél K’e Dene First Nation, North Slave Métis Alliance, Northwest Territories Métis Nation, De Beers Canada and Tłı̨chǫ Government have attended the “On the land” meeting. The meeting took place from September 25-27, 2017.
