The banner is actually a quilt made with 100% cotton and quilted into three sections.  It was commissioned by the Gameti Presence Office.  

The banner was designed and made by Lynn Turcotte of Gameti.  Lynn is also the sewing instructor for the successful sewing program in Gameti last spring.  

Lynn stated ‘It was an honour to make this banner for the local Tlicho Government.  It took a lot of thought as to how to put it together for the space it was being designed for.  There were some challenges along the way, but I am proud of how it turned out.’  The banner was gratefully accepted by Gloria Ekendia-Gon, Tlicho Community Director of Gameti and Irene Mantla, Administrative Assistant.
