Behchoko RCMP launch Red Ribbon campaign
Yellowknife, NT, September 11th, 2018 – Starting this weekend, the Behchoko RCMP will be conducting a Red Ribbon campaign to educate and increase awareness of the dangers of impaired driving. The campaign will be also supported by a positive ticketing program sponsored by the Behchoko Northern Store. Red Ribbon campaign posters have already been posted around the community.

The Red Ribbon campaign is an education campaign during which officers will conduct check-stops and deliver red ribbons for people to attach to their antenna or anywhere else to show their support for people to drive sober.

The positive ticketing program is an initiative during which officers will hand out a small reward to designated sober drivers that can be claimed at the Northern Store.
