Winter Road Update - Mar. 7 2025
The Tłı̨chǫ Winter Road to Gamèti is now open to 36,000 kilograms Gross Vehicle Weight.
- Please watch and slow down for construction and maintenance equipment working along all sections of the winter road;
- Watch out for increased traffic along the Gamètì Winter Road over this weekend;
- Watch for soft areas along edges on portage’s;
- Please watch for rough areas on portages and lakes; slow down when meeting oncoming traffic;
- There are multiple pressure ridges on Fabor Lake; slow down and use caution when crossing;
- Please note the maximum speed limit throughout the Tłı̨chǫ Winter Road system is 50 Km/h;
- The maximum speed limit for commercial loads on all water bodies is 30 Km/h;
- All commercial traffic is requested to call Portage numbers on Public VHF Channel Ladd 1.
The Wekweètì Winter Road is currently “Closed and under Construction”.
