Digital Addiction Awareness Youth Training Workshop

We are looking for young people between the ages of (12 to 19 years old) from Behchokǫ̀ who can participate in a Digital Addiction Awareness Youth Workshop.

Hey, we really want to get the young folks involved and have their families back them up in raising awareness about how much time we're all spending on social media and smartphones.

We're focusing on the addiction-like symptoms that can come from using these devices, which can lead to various health and mental issues. With this workshop, we aim to help young people understand how to communicate better and share accurate info with their families and friends through social media and community events.

After the training, we'll pick five youth to work 3 to 4 paid hrs per week at the Tłı̨chǫ Friendship Centre, where they'll collaborate with peers and community members to raise awareness about various healthy choices and how we can incorporate ideas from our traditions and culture while promoting positive healthy behaviours.
