Masì cho and Goodbye from Madeleine

My partner Steve and I moved to Behchokǫ̀ in 2015. We quickly embraced spending time on the land all year round. Tłı̨chǫ N'de is a very special place where we have felt the healing and renewing power of connecting to it as often as we could. Our son Norrie was born here in 2018. He has spent the last almost 2 years growing and learning with the caring team of day care providers at Tłı̨chǫ Daycare. Masì cho for everything you have taught him - especially a love of drum dances! I have enjoyed working at the Marie Adele Bishop Health Centre. The wonderful support staff and nurses have made it a place I will never forget. It has been a privilege and a struggle to try and provide good healthcare for community members in a system that has many failings. It has been an honour to live and work here and I know we will be back some day. We are leaving to move back closer to our families in Ontario and are expecting another baby in August. Masì and goodbye. - Madeleine
