Kiewit is pleased to recognize Roxanne Kotchilea as the successful recipient of the 2020 Tłı̨chǫ All Season Road (TASR) TASR project education bursary.  Roxanne is in her final year of study for a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Regina.  Upon completion she plans to move home and work with children and families within the Tłı̨chǫ region.  Roxanne will be a strong advocate for Tłı̨chǫ citizens for years to come – as stated application “I look forward to helping my community heal and thrive.” 

The new road will have numerous socio-economic impacts on the region both positive and negative. We believe that Roxanne is acquiring valuable skills through her chosen field of study which will assist her to address these impacts and that she will be an important part of the TASR project’s legacy for years to come.  Her desire to “work with families and children in the Tłı̨chǫ region helping the community heal and thrive” will be a huge asset to the Tłı̨chǫ communities and the citizens.
