The Schedule for Holy Week

To Brother Priests, Religious and all Diocesan leaders

Due to the current Pandemic and the State of Public Health Emergency in the Northwest Territories, our churches will remain closed for Holy Week. Though this is very disappointing it allows us to be witnesses to the Grace of God which can be found even in the hardest times.

More than ever, let us place our faith in God and increase our efforts to do what we need to do in order to maintain the health of our communities.

The Schedule for Holy Week

Time of the Live-stream from Facebook.com/dioceseofmackenzie

Daily Mass continues: 7:30am followed by our Lenten Retreat Series (link is on the Facebook page)

Palm Sunday: 11:00am

Holy Thursday: 7:00pm

Good Friday: 3:00pm

Easter Vigil (Saturday): 9:00pm

Easter Sunday: 11:00am

The Chrism Mass, which usually takes place in St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral during our diocesan gathering in the spring, has been postponed until September.

The collection for the Holy Land, usually taken up on Good Friday, will also be postponed until September.

May God bless you and your families during this most Holy Season. Stay positive in the face of whatever trials come your way. We are all in this together as we join our needs in prayer, let us carry our crosses and walk with Christ and join in the resurrection together.
