Community Health Representative Day
Celebrating Community Health Representative Day was last week September 20th. We celebrated by having cake and snacks at the Health Center. Although the time has passed, I thought it would be great if you could post this picture of our CHR’s on the website so they receive the recognition they much deserve.
September 20th is Community Health Representative Day in the NWT. We acknowledge and recognize Community Health Representatives for their contribution to the health care system in the Tłı̨chǫ Region.
Community Health Representatives (CHRs) are our community connectors. They connect people with health services. They strengthen community partnerships to promote health programs and activities. And they organize community events to help people understand ways to prevent diseases, and promote healthier lifestyles.
