The Tłı̨chǫ Government continues its important mandate of promoting and preserving language, culture and way of life through many opportunities to connect with the land of Mǫwhì Gogha Dè Nı̨ı̨tłèè. During the period of August 1st – 3rd and August 8th – 10th, the Tłı̨chǫ Government will be running a camp and daily visits to K’ıchıı̀ (Whitebeach Point).
- Motor boats will depart Frank Channel on August 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 at 10:00 am, returning after supper at about 5:30 pm (weather permitting).
- Opening day & Feeding of the Fire Ceremony is planned for August 1st, 2018.
- A charter will be available each of the three days: August 1st, 8th, and 10th. Elders will get first priority on the charters. Seats are limited so please call to register your seat. YK Tłı̨chǫ citizens call 766-4003 to register, Behchokǫ̀ Tłı̨chǫ citizens call 392-6381 ext. 1353.
There will be a daily shuttle (CJBS Mini Bus) from Behchokǫ̀ to Frank Channel each day of the camp.
All guests visiting the camp will NOT get paid, but will enjoy camp lunch & supper and get to visit with Elders and hear the stories about this beautiful land.
All visitors must register. By completing Waiver Forms prior to boarding a plane or boat.
