Site Tour of Gahcho Kué Project

Representatives from each Tłįchǫ Community flew in to the Gahcho Kué Project for a site tour, on Monday, August 15, 2016.

Gahcho Kué Project is a remote fly-in/fly-out location 280km northeast of Yellowknife, which will be De Beers’ third diamond mine in Canada, and is currently under construction. 

Site tour included safety orientation, and current projected overview.  Process Plant walking tour followed by a site tour of the Area 3 Intake, Lake N11 Outflow, Emulsion Plant, AN Storage, and waste management plant.
