Dr. James Joseph Van Camp, MD, CCFP has completed his two year residency in Rural Family Medicine in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and successfully passed his Certification Examination in Family Medicine.  He is the first Tlicho Citizen to achieve a medical degree.

Dr. Van Camp will be taking some holiday time before temporarily practicing in Whitehorse, and then returning to the Peace Region to work and explore his options.

Dr. Van Camp would like to thank the Tlicho Government and the GNWT Departments of Health and Social Services, Education, Culture and Employment and Environment and Natural Resources for their support.
