The Wilderness Safety Training Program is a training program for people who want to work for the Tlicho Government as instructors in their On the Land programs. The program is mostly for people between the ages of 50 and 64 but anyone can apply. By building on people’s On the Land skills and experience, the program will provide the occupational health and safety training and outdoor safety certifications now required by the TG for all its staff who work On the Land as foremen, crew bosses, boatmen and activity supervisors in the Imbe Program, Trails of our Ancestors Canoe Trip and Puberty Camps. The program is running in Behchoko from February 24th to May 16th. Application forms are available at the TG head office from Bertha Black and Phoebe Rabesca or at the Chiefs office in Behchoko.
