Client Services Department held a Garden Planning Workshop training opportunity for the residents of Whatì, on January 16, 2019.
10 participants who joined the workshop, which focused on an introduction to gardening, planning, food production, and the importance of soil and soil fertility.
During the workshop there was also a presentation by Stella Quitte, a Tłı̨chǫ women from Gamètı̀, who shared her experiences working as a full time as a farmer/gardener.
The event was made possible with funding by the Government of Canada's Skills and Partnership Fund in Partnership (SPF) with the Tłı̨chǫ Government’s Client Services Department and with the support of:

The information shared during this workshop will be used to create specialized training manuals for the Tlicho Communities and used as part of the upcoming Farm Training being provided through Client Services and NFTI.
