UPDATE:Gamètı̀ Winter Road will re-open at 2pm this afternoon
The Department of infrastructure had previously committed to providing an update at 10:00 today however, we wanted to have certainty in the re-opening of the Gamètı̀ Winter Road for which an update from the field was provided at 11:00 this morning.
 
Please be advised that the Gamètı̀ Winter Road will re-open at 2:00 pm this afternoon.
 
  • Please watch for overflow and a short section of single lane traffic at the north end of Hislop Lake on Portage 24, around km 108.
  • Speed limit in this section is 10 km/h
  • Please slow down and drive with caution.
 
The Gamètì Winter Road is limited to 15,000 Kilograms Gross Vehicle Weight at this time.
