Treaty 11 100th Anniversary Logo
Tłı̨chǫ Government is pleased to share the logo representing the 100th Anniversary of Monfwi signing Treaty 11 for the Tłı̨chǫ people in 1921. In anticipation of celebrations and activities in 2021, the logo will be used to identify special events, commemorative projects and adorn 100th Anniversary clothing and products.
The logo was designed to highlight the importance of Monfwi as the signing chief who represented the Tłı̨chǫ people in the treaty negotiations, and his legacy as a leader. The Tłı̨chǫ flag included in the logo represents how the Treaty 11 is important and foundational to Tłı̨chǫ land claims and self-government.
The 100th Anniversary activities include commemorative projects leading up to and during the anniversary date in August 2020, the construction of ceremonial fire circles in the communities, a monument of Monfwi and exhibits and print materials that tell this important story. Watch out for opportunities to contribute to the plans, to be involved in projects and to participate in the celebrations.
