Dear Tłı̨chǫ Community Members,
We’re excited to invite you to the Eghàlats’eeda (Let’s Work) Tłı̨chǫ Workers Gathering, which will be taking place May 17-18, 2023 in Behchokǫ̀!
The Eghàlats’eeda (Let’s Work) Tłı̨chǫ Workers Gathering will bring together Tłı̨chǫ youth, Tłı̨chǫ mine employees and remote workers, make space for attendees to share their mining and remote work experiences, and to learn about future employment and training opportunities, including post-mine closure.
In addition to this, attendees will get to enjoy:
- Special guest speakers
- Live demonstrations
- Industry presentations
- Interactive displays
- Prize draws and giveaways
The gathering is free to attend and a shuttle service between Behchokǫ̀ and Yellowknife is currently being planned.
All Tłı̨chǫ citizens are welcome and participants are encouraged to come with their resumes and to be prepared to speak with potential employers.
This is a great opportunity for those who are entering the workforce, seeking employment, or planning for new work following the mine closure!
