The Tłı̨chǫ Winter Road to Whatì will OPEN this afternoon at 4:00 PM to 10,000 kilograms Gross Vehicle Weight.

• Watch for marked pressure ridges and rough sections on Marian Lake;
• Watch for a parked trailer on Portage 4, km 42;
• Watch for a Construction Camp on Portage 5, km 46.
• Watch for heavy equipment working between Portage 10 -13, km 60 to km 68 area;
• Watch for heavy equipment working on lakes and portages.
• Watch for soft areas along edges on portage’s;
• Speed limit throughout the winter road is 50 km/h.

Please use caution on all NWT Winter Roads.  The Winter Roads to Gamètì and Wekweètì are currently under construction.
