Throughout the year there are school closed days where teachers receive professional development, work collaboratively, and have time to complete their administrative duties. These days are often called PD (professional development) and STIP days (Strengthening Teacher Instructional Practice) - the activities teachers engage in on these days directly support them in being able to better support student learning. All school staff work those days while the school is closed for students.
