Tłı̨chǫ Literacy Fund Contest Article
Client Services Department are please to announce the 2018 Tłı̨chǫ Literacy Contest winners for the Book, Poster, and T-shirt categories.
Congratulations to:
- Book Contest Winner - Kyla Arrowmaker, of Wekweètı̀. Kyla’s book entitled Take A Kid Trapping, will be made into a colouring book.
- Poster Contest Winner – Layden Judas, of Wekweètı̀. Layden’s poster will be printed into posters.
- T-shirt Contest Winner – Juliet Mackenzie of Behchokǫ̀. Juliet’s design will be made into t-shirts.
The theme was “Celebrating the Tłı̨chǫ Language”, and the winners’ submissions will be reproduced and distributed to Behchokǫ̀, Whatı̀, Gamètı̀, and Wekweètı̀.
We would like to thank all the Tłı̨chǫ citizens who participated in the Tłı̨chǫ Literacy Contest. All participants receive a gift bag full of books and gift cards.
Tłı̨chǫ Literacy Contest was sponsored by Career Development and funded by ECE-GNWT.
The 2019 Tłı̨chǫ Literacy Contest theme is “Our Ancestor”, submission must include the use of the Tłı̨chǫ language. Client Services will be accepting entries starting September 01 until November 29th, 2019.
