The King Charles III Coronation Medal was established to commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. This honour is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to a province, territory, region, or community in Canada, or who have achieved outstanding accomplishments abroad that bring credit to the country.

On February 28, 2025, Tammy Steinwand was presented with the King Charles III Coronation Medal by Northwest Territories Premier R.J. Simpson. This recognition honours her exceptional contributions to the Tłı̨chǫ communities and people. Through her dedication and leadership, Tammy has made a lasting impact, strengthening cultural, educational, and community initiatives that support the Tłı̨chǫ Nation.
