The Tłı̨chǫ Winter Road system, serving the communities of Whatì, Gamètì, and Wekweètì̀, is now CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.

 

Travel will not be permitted anywhere on the Tłı̨chǫ winter roads after 10:00 am MST.

 

To enhance Public Safety, Snow Berm Barricades will be placed at the Whatì, Gamètì, and Wekweètì junctions; as well as the north end of Portage 1.

 

The GNWT, Department of Infrastructure would like to thank, dedicated staff, winter road contractors, the public, and motor carriers for their efforts in making this a successful season.
