Post Secondary Students receive backpacks from Client Services
Client Services Department of the Tłı̨chǫ Government would like to show appreciation to the Tłı̨chǫ Citizens registered in post-secondary programs.
123 students recieved custom designed backpacks for their hard work and dedication for continuing studies for your future goals.
Client Services has three funding streams under the Post-Secondary Program:
- Top-Up “(Our Nation's Education) ONE Student Financial Support Program” – a financial top-up available to full-time Tłı̨chǫ Citizens in post-secondary programs. Running since 1997 and funded by our corporate partners, the program has contributed significantly to the success of our students! Partner r financial assistance is greatly appreciated and we look forward to their continued participation in this program. Ması̀ Cho!
- New funding provided by the Government of Canada – the Dǫ Nàke Làànı̀ Nàts’etso Bursary/ Strong Like Two People Bursary - provides financial assistance for students who are members of the former First Nations bands of Dogrib Rae Band, Whatì First Nation, Gamètì First Nation, and Dechi Laot’i First Nation who are enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree-awarding program at an eligible post-secondary educational institution.
- New Funding provided by Government of Canada - University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP) - Offers non-repayable financial support for full-time and part-time students who are members of the former First Nations bands of Dogrib Rae Band, Whatì First Nation, Gamètì First Nation, and Dechi Laot’i First Nation and who are enrolled in a university and college entrance preparation programs to enable them to attain the academic level required for entrance into degree and diploma credit programs.
