Play Dough Part 1

The Tłı̨chǫ Government Early Childhood Department is excited to offer some videos for parents and children while we continue to be in containment.

We are excited to have Chelsey Weleschuk, an Occupational Therapist, who runs her own company out of Yellowknife, Capable Kids Occupational Therapy Services. She is going to be doing a series of videos that will be shared through the Tłı̨chǫ Government Facebook page and the Tłı̨chǫ Government website.  We hope you enjoy this first video in the series, Play Dough Part 1!

Chelsey has been an occupational therapist for 12 years, spending the majority of her career working with children, helping them develop and grow in their gifts. Chelsey moved to Inuvik in 2016 where she served people of all ages in the Beaufort Delta and Sahtu regions.

In 2020, Chelsey moved to Yellowknife to work at the Department of Education, Culture, and Employment in the Early Learning and Child Care Division. She has recently started her own occupational therapy practice, Capable Kids Occupational Therapy Services, based in Yellowknife. Chelsey shares the Indigenous belief that all people are born capable, and she feels fortunate to help children and their families grow in their capabilities.
