The Tłįchǫ Government was awarded the 2014 NWT Human Rights Commission Accessibility Award in recognition of its efforts to ensure the government buildings recently constructed in WhatÌ and GamètÌ are accessible to persons with disabilities.
The NWT Human Rights Accessibility Award This award recognizes new and existing physical and/or non-physical accommodations that a business makes or has made to create more accessibility to services for the public. The award may be given to any business or organization providing services to the public.
