Community Government of Wekweeti recently finished the construction of 215 feet long and 17 feet wide concrete bridge on steel piles. Ms. Grace Angel, Senior Administrative Officer of Wekweeti stated that this bridge will help community residents’ easy access to recreational area and also serve as a connection to the winter road for the community in the future. Sudhir Jha (MACA) said that this project was partly funded through Building Canada Plan (Canada’s Economic Action Plan). The total cost of the project is $1,014,000.00
