Grad Beauty Day in Behchokǫ̀, June 23, 2024
The Victim and Justice Division of the Client Services Department organized and held a Grad Beauty Day in Behchokǫ̀, NT, on June 23, 2024. This event was part of a pilot project under the Crime Prevention initiative, which aims to reduce crime and promote community unity.
Fourteen participants attended the celebration, which was organized to honor high school graduates. Grad Beauty Day provided makeup, hairstyling, and a photoshoot for each participant, allowing them to celebrate their high school graduation in the class of 2024.
We would like to express our gratitude to FC Services for providing catering, including fruit platters, drinks, and lunch. Olivia Patterson generously offered her talents in hair, makeup, and photography, while the Blunt Beauty staff provided hairstyling services.
Our pilot project will be expanding next year to the Tłı̨chǫ Communities to provide Grad Beauty Day. Congratulations to all our Tłı̨chǫ Graduates!
