Gamètì Winter Road - Open

The Tłı̨chǫ Winter Road to Gamètì is now OPEN to 5,000 Kilograms Gross Vehicle Weight. 

  • Please watch for heavy equipment on Moose Lake, km 71 area;
  • Watch for heavy equipment working on Portage 17 – 18, Km 75 to Km 80 area;
  • Please watch for rough sections on Tumi and Rabbit Lake, Km 89 to 95 area;
  • Watch for marked pressure ridges on Hislop and Faber Lakes;
  • Watch for and slow down for construction and maintenance equipment working on all sections of the winter road;

Please use caution on all NWT Winter Roads. The Whatì Winter Road is open to 17,000 Kilograms Gross Vehicle Weight and the Wekweètì Winter Road is currently under construction.
