Ekwǫ̀ Harvest Monitor Course in Behchokǫ̀
The Department of Culture and Lands Protection held an Ekwǫ̀ Harvest Monitor Course in Behchokǫ̀, NT from October 26-30, 2020.
32 applications were received and 12 individuals were selected to participate in the training.
The Ekwǫ̀ Harvest Monitor Course was designed and tailored to meet the Tłı̨chǫ citizen needs. The course included planning for the program, environmental monitoring techniques, health and safety, reviewing monitoring protocols and several hands-on learning. Once completed the participants will be considered for the Ekwǫ̀ Harvest Monitoring Program.
