Learn skills and get training on how to mill wood and operate a portable Band Sawmill to create usable lumber. Participants will learn essential sawmill operation, including set-up, operation, reading logs and lumber cuts, lumber storage, log selection and harvesting and various tools. Participants will also receive Occupational Health and Safety Training, and safety training for Chainsaw and Band Sawmill.

• Must be able to attend course days on weekends (June 11-12 and 18-19), as training will be across 15 days straight. 
• Open to Tłı̨chǫ Citizens.  Priority given to Tłı̨chǫ Citizens living in Whatì. Travel costs are not included.
• Recent WHMIS Training is an asset but is not required
