Chiefs Executive Council celebrates Chief Jimmy Bruneau Day

Chiefs Executive Council (CEC) is honoured to have been invited to participate in the events held at Chief Jimmy Bruneau High School commemorating Chief Jimmy Bruneau day (January 16, 2020).

Every January the CEC holds meetings in the high school, talking with students and meeting with invited guests. These meetings are a high point of the CEC’s annual schedule.

Grand Chief George Mackenzie stated:

“Meeting with our students, our future, playing hand games with them and seeing how our educators are fulfilling Chief Jimmy Bruneau’s vision brings hope for a strong and positive future for the Tłı̨chǫ Nation. Our youth are growing to be strong in our way of life and successful academically.  We are thankful to the many staff at our schools in all our communities; working with you we are collectively creating the next generation of leaders for our nation.”

Tłı̨chǫ Government would like to thank all the staff and students of Chief Jimmy Bruneau School for the time, care and consideration that went into hosting the Chiefs this week.
