CHANGING THE NARRATIVE ON SUICIDE

Every year on September 10th, the world remembers those affected by suicide, promotes awareness, and focuses on directing treatment to those who need it most.

In this spirit, the Tłı̨chǫ Government, in collaboration with the Tłı̨chǫ Friendship Centre and Tłı̨chǫ Community Service Agency, is preparing to hold events in each community to raise awareness about suicide and its impact.

By coming together, we can foster a more supportive and compassionate community where suicide is preventable and everyone feels valued and understood.

Participating in these events helps to start and sustain important conversations. Every discussion, no matter how small, contributes to a more supportive and understanding community. Together, we can make a difference and work toward a future where suicide prevention is prioritized, and everyone feels supported in finding the help that works for them.
