Are you interested in learning how to operate an NWT Campground?  This training opportunity will help you or your business be ready to bid on successfully operating the North Arm Territorial Park for the summer of 2023.   Training is being delivered in Behchoko in Phase 1 and 2.  Training for Phase 3 is at Prelude Territorial Campground, with accommodations and meals provided.

Phase 1: June 13 – 17 – Introduction to campground operations, including care and hospitality for campers.  This includes WHMIS and First Aid Training.

Phase 2:  June 27 – 30 – Learn how to manage the GNWT Parks Reservation System, how to put together a bid to operate a campground,

                                            how to start your business and what supports are in place to get you started.

Phase 3:  August 15 – 26 – This is an onsite mentorship at Prelude Campground.   Five of the trainees who successfully complete Phase 1 and 2 will be selected to
                                                 work with the Campground Operator to get hands on experience of what it takes to run a campground for the summer.
