The Tłı̨chǫ Government is seeking energetic, strategically focused persons with proven business expertise to provide business input as well as oversight and governance as a member of the Board of Directors of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC).
 
The Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation is the main business instrument of the Tłı̨chǫ Government and operates as an arm’s length corporation focused on developing the Tłı̨chǫ economy.
 
Currently, TIC is a $80 million per year 100% Indigenous owned organization with multiple strategic focuses including building & civil construction, commercial property ownership & management, community operations & hospitality, mine services including remediation and environmental management.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a team player to be part of the future of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation.  TIC is transforming and diversifying for the future.  Skills of particular interest for the TIC Board include: understanding of the Tłı̨chǫ communities, financial knowledge, strategic thinking, business law and operations, knowledge of corporate governance principles, risk management experience, leadership, conflict resolution, as well as industry experience and knowledge including mining, civil construction and project management.

Working Chairperson Tłıc̨hǫ Investment Corporation

The Tłı̨chǫ Government is looking for the next leader of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) Board of Directors. This is an exciting new opportunity to be a “Working Chairperson” providing strategic oversight and governance to TIC.
 
The Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation is the main business instrument of the Tłı̨chǫ Government and operates as an arm’s length corporation focused on developing the Tłı̨chǫ economy.
 
Currently, TIC is a $80 million per year 100% Indigenous owned organization with multiple strategic focuses including building & civil construction, commercial property ownership & management, community operations & hospitality, mine services including remediation and environmental management.
 
This will be a full time position. The working chairperson will have a leadership role with the Board Members providing strategic direction and guidance on a wide array of board related issues. The position is integral to corporate strategic planning, and communicating that plan to the Tłı̨chǫ Government Chiefs Executive Council, Tłı̨chǫ Assembly, other board members and Tłı̨chǫ citizens.
 
TIC is transforming and diversifying for the future. Desirable skills for the Working Chairperson include: knowledge of Tłı̨chǫ culture and way of life, communication, organization, governance, strategic planning and negotiation, finance and accounting, accompanied with industry knowledge including mining, exploration, construction and project management.
 
As per the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation Administration Law, this position is only open to Tłı̨chǫ citizens.
