Tłı̨chǫ Government Provides Harvest Subsidy Payment
Behchokǫ̀ (July 12, 2017) – The Chief Executive Council (CEC) has approved a Harvest Subsidy Payment of $250 to each enrolled Tłı̨chǫ Citizen.
The Harvest Subsidy Payment will be made on July 20-21, 2017 at the Tłı̨chǫ head office for Tłı̨chǫ Citizen residents of Behchokǫ̀, and at the local Tłı̨chǫ Government Community Presence office for Tłı̨chǫ Citizen residents of Whatì, Gamètì and Wekweètì, and at the Yellowknife office. If you are not able to pick up your cheque, Corporate Services will mail or direct deposited your cheque to the information filled out on Tłı̨chǫ Citizen Harvest Subsidy Payout Form.
Please note that all Tłı̨chǫ citizens will have to complete a Tłı̨chǫ Citizen Harvest Subsidy Payout Form acknowledging receipt of payment. This form can be downloaded from www.tlicho.ca and hard copies are available for completion at the Tłı̨chǫ head office in Behchokǫ̀ and the Tłı̨chǫ Government Community Presence offices in Whatì, Gamètì and Wekweètì.
Please note that the Tłı̨chǫ Government Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual requires that any outstanding cheque which cannot be located and/or if the cheque is stale dated, the cheque will be removed from the outstanding cheque list on March 31st and funds will be reimbursed to the Tłı̨chǫ Government’s general account.
Cheques will not be reissued more 90 days after the year-end in which they were stale-dated.
To avoid delay, it is the responsibility of Tłı̨chǫ citizens to update and keep current their contact information with the Enrolment Coordinator. Additional information may be required if your citizen file is not up to date.
