Welcome to Tåîchô.ca

We want this site to be a celebration of all things Tåîchô. Our traditional lands are a vast area of boreal forests, waterways, and tundra stretching from the northern shores of Great Slave Lake to almost touch the southern shores of Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories of Canada. From the borders of Nunavut in the east towards the Mackenzie River in the west, our land is rich in wildlife and other resources.

TCSA Teacher Training

During the week of August 23 - 27, 2010 the community of Behchokö hosted teachers from all 4 Tåîchô communities.  It was the annual cultural training that take place just prior to the start of the school year.  All teachers, both new and returning, take part in these cultural activities. 

New Picnic Shelter for the North Arm Territorial Park

On Wednesday August 25, 2010 people gathered together to celebrate the opening of the new picnic shelter and playground in the North Arm Territorial Park.  Speeches were followed by drumming and a BBQ.

Rosa Rabesca was born in Yellowknife and her family moved to Behchokö in the 1950’s where she has lived ever since. She married her late husband, Eddie Paul Rabesca and together they had seven children who have blessed her with many, many grandchildren.
